Guided Tours Along Route 16

We’re excited to announce that guided tours are now available thanks to Ride 16, a new Motorcycle Touring Company that hand-curates small group riding experiences.

Based out of Squamish, British Columbia, Ride 16 currently has 3 tours of Route 16 plus the Inside Passage available for summer 2022. They are also looking at adding more dates, dependant on demand.

The Route 16 Guided Tour

The 4,000km circle Route 16 Tour is 11-days long with 9-days of riding. Current departure dates are July 17th, August 6th, and August 20th, 2022.

Your trip includes the lead motorcycle guide, 10-nights’ accommodation, ferry tickets on the tour, provincial park entrance fees, border crossing documents/authorizations along the route, and a set-menu welcome and departure dinner.

The trip cost does not include any travel/visas required to join the tour (flights, airport transfers, bike rentals, etc.), personal items, special activities (rafting, fishing, etc.), bike-related costs like maintenance/servicing/fuel/insurance, alcohol, meals not mentioned above, personal/medical/travel insurance.

The planned route begins and ends in Squamish, but if you’re traveling from elsewhere or live along the way you can work with Ride 16 to arrange a join-up with the tour group at a different location along the route.

The Ride 16 crew

The Ride 16 team can fix a flat on a pock-marked road near the Alaska border or recommend what B.C. craft beer goes down best after a long day in the saddle. For the Ride 16 crew, it’s not just a motorcycle ride. It’s an opportunity to explore culture, learn about ecology, and refuel the inspiration tank that drives us all forward in life. After all, we didn’t get into motorcycles to ride the same road every time.

About Ride 16

Ride 16 founder Darren Roberts has been riding, building, and dreaming on two wheels since he was 15 years old. The UK transplant has lived in Canada for 28 years and continues to explore, driven by the same curiosity that has taken him around the globe.

A lifetime spent traveling Africa, India, the Middle East, and the Americas has gifted him with the experience and mechanical aptitude to ensure your bike makes it to the end of the road. He’s crossed the Sahara Desert. He has navigated an Enfield through the streets of New Delhi during rush hour. Most importantly, he knows how to pull together the perfect touring team. Their goal? Make adventure happen.
